Former Deputy Chief Auditor in the international oil-refining industry, with senior internal audit and internal control experience in major energy and petrochemical organisations and a Big 4 business advisory background. A chartered accountant and Certified Internal Auditor, Afzaal has worked across the UK and the Middle East.

I have spent my career on both sides of the table: advising clients at a Big 4 firm, and later leading internal audit inside a major international refining joint venture. I have seen what separates internal audit functions that earn the board’s trust from those that simply go through the motions.

The difference is rarely the size of the team. It is clarity of purpose, independence, a sharp focus on the risks that matter, and recommendations people can actually implement. Those principles are what Innovatex Global is built on.
