Our approach
Assurance that is independent, standards-led and practical enough for management to act on.
Why it matters now
New standards and new legal duties mean boards are expected to evidence that their controls work, not just assert it.
Since 2025
New IIA Standards reshape charters, methodology, quality programmes and board reporting. Most existing manuals need updating.
FY 2026 on
Boards of companies applying the Code must declare whether their material internal controls are effective.

Frequently asked questions
An external firm delivers some or all of your internal audit plan, reporting to your audit committee. It gives you experienced auditors and specialist skills without the cost of a full in-house team.
The Global Internal Audit Standards require an External Quality Assessment at least once every five years, carried out by a qualified, independent assessor.
Many private, public and not-for-profit organisations use internal audit to give their board independent assurance over risk, controls and fraud, and to meet funder or regulator expectations.
Most engagements are fixed-fee, agreed in a written proposal before work starts. Ongoing outsourced and co-source arrangements can be priced per audit or as an annual plan.
External audit gives an opinion on whether the financial statements are true and fair, for shareholders and other users. Internal audit works for the board and audit committee, giving independent assurance over risk management, internal control and governance across the whole organisation.
